The Lakers are on a three-game losing streak going into Monday night’s game against the Dallas Mavericks.
And they looked lost on Sunday night as they succumbed to a 108-86 loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The young Lakers struggled to cope in the opening and slipped to a 24-2 deficit after the opening few minutes.
The team was without several senior players, as LeBron James and Rajon Rondo continue their rehabilitation from injury.
James is continuing to recover from a groin strain suffered on Christmas Day against the Golden State Warriors.
Kyle Kuzma, who has been a breakthrough star for the Lakers this year, was forced out of the game with an injury, leaving the starting five even more depleted than usual.
However, Skeets believes that there is no need for the Lakers to worry, as they are still performing as they should be.
The Lakers are 21-19 so far this season, and sit eighth in the NBA Western Conference.
And Skeets explained on the NBA The Starters show that the team is doing fine, other than the previous few games.
“The Lakers are without LeBron James, what a shock that they’re 1-5 without him,” Skeets said sarcastically.
“And then there’s no Kyle Kuzma, and no Rajon Rondo who has helped them massively.
“This is not a shock.
“This is nothing.
“Also, the Lakers are exactly where a lot of people thought they would be, they’re around .500, in the Play-Offs but not running away with the Western Conference.
“If you thought they would be, you’re crazy.”
