That is what Fox Sports pundit Chris Broussard believes.

James has been missing since Christmas Day after he suffered a groin strain.

He originally hoped to return earlier, but was told on Thursday that he could officially step up his recovery.

In his absence, the Lakers have struggled, and picked up just three wins compared to five losses.

However, in Wednesday night’s 113-100 win over the Detroit Pistons, there was a spark of success for the Lakers, as Kyle Kuzma stepped up to the plate with 41 points.

And Broussard explained that the Lakers need to follow his lead in order to continue to pick up wins while the superstar LeBron is out.

“It’s hard to adjust to playing without LeBron James,” he told Undisputed.

“We saw a team that had gone to four straight finals, had all-stars in Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, go 4-23 without LeBron. [Cleveland Cavaliers]

“But the fact that this young team, without not only lebrun but Rajon Rondo, has gone 3-5, that’s nothing to shout about.

“But they’ve won their last two, I like what I see from this team.

“It tells me that they have good basketball IQ, because they’ve adjusted to playing well without LeBron.

“It also tells me that they have the utmost confidence, especially Kuzma, and I love that.

“To bounce back from a 4-20 shooting game, 13 points, to have your career high in three quarters, and he was going up against Blake Griffin.”

Broussard was also complimentary of head coach Luke Walton, who has faced criticism throughout the season, as well as pundits claiming he could be fired.

“The third thing it tells me is that Luke Walton is a good coach,” he continued.

“I think he’s running good stuff without LeBron, and when LeBron is there he adjusts.

“I feel like their biggest problem without LeBron is here {points to head] with Lonzo and Ingram staying aggressive, and that’s a mental thing.

”Those two every night need to be aggressive.”
