Liverpool are potentially sweating on the fitness of Sadio Mane ahead of today’s clash with Fulham at Craven Cottage.
The Senegalese winger was not pictured in training on Friday, with no explanation given for his absence.
Jurgen Klopp will hope Mane is fit to face the Cottagers, with his forward in electric form after a double against Bayern Munich and another brace in the win over Burnley.
Jordan Henderson is definitely ruled out after rolling his ankle in the 3-1 victory on Wednesday, although the Liverpool captain’s injury is not thought to be serious.
Meanwhile, Naby Keita faces a late fitness test as he looks to shrug off a muscle injury which ruled him out of Champions League action.
When asked about the state of the squad ahead of the trip to Craven Cottage, Klopp said: “We’ll have to see.
“With Hendo, we’ve made further assessments. It’s serious enough to rule him out for the weekend but the international break will hopefully be long enough to bring him back.
“It’s a little one with his ankle. It was the best scan we could get I’d say but still not good enough. Not good but okay.
“With Naby, we will see if he’s okay to train today. A couple of checks have been positive but we will have to see if it stays positive when he goes outside.”
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has suffered a setback in his injury recovery after picking up a minor hamstring injury while playing for the U23s.
Elsewhere, Joe Gomez remains out while Dejan Lovren was also not pictured training at Melwood so Joel Matip is expected to partner Virgil van Dijk in defence.
Fabinho and Georginio Wijnaldum are likely to be joined by one of James Milner, Adam Lallana or Xherdan Shaqiri in midfield but the attacking trio will stay unchanged if Mane is available.
