Real Madrid star Courtois has been backed to join Manchester United as part of a swap deal that would see David De Gea head in the opposite direction.
The Belgium international only moved to the Bernabeu from Chelsea back in the summer after pushing for a move away from Stamford Bridge.
However, Courtois’ Real Madrid dream has turned into a nightmare with the Belgian now stuck behind Keylor Navas in the pecking order.
As a result, the 26-year-old could leave the club when the transfer window reopens at the end of the campaign.
Yet The Sun say Courtois does not want to join United.
It is claimed that United told Real in secret talks that, if they want De Gea, then they would want Courtois in return.
De Gea’s contract at Old Trafford is winding down and, with no agreement yet reached, he could leave for free in 2020.
Real boss Zinedine Zidane, who replaced Santiago Solari earlier this month, craves the arrival of the Spaniard.
But Courtois, The Sun say, would prefer to join PSG should he be shown the door.
In an ideal world he would like to stay at Real, the club he pushed so hard to join from Chelsea in the summer.
