Antoine Griezmann is said to be considering his future at Atletico Madrid after the club were dumped out of the Champions League by Juventus.
The Spanish outfit also find themselves 10 points behind leaders Barcelona in the La Liga table.
Barca were in hot pursuit of Griezmann last summer before the Frenchman decided to stay put and sign a new contract.
Griezmann penned a deal with the Madrid side which ties him to the Wanda Metropolitano until 2023.
The new contract was also said to include a release clause of €200million (£171m).
But details have now emerged of a new clause in his deal which could see that figure drop significantly this summer.
According to AS, Griezmann insisted a stipulation was included in his contract that would see his release clause drop to €120m (£103m) on July 1, 2019.
That fee will likely make the Atletico star one the summer’s top transfer targets for Europe’s elite sides.
And according to Spanish publication Sport, Manchester United are currently leading the race for his signature.
Old Trafford could prove an attractive destination for the forward, where he can link up with compatriots Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial.
Barcelona have also been rumoured again, as have Paris Saint-Germain, but this week Griezmann’s sister Maud hit back at speculation her brother was seeking a move away from Atletico.
She said: “Antoine is disappointed by this elimination, since one of his objectives while staying at Atletico was to win the Champions League in his stadium.
“But he is the same as his team-mates, coach, officials and fans. It’s tiring to read new things every day about what my brother thinks and about whoever says they know what he’s thinking.
