Rangers and Celtic are currently in Old Firm action as they aim to dent one another’s title aspirations.
And the Gers’ task will now be even bigger following the dismissal of Morelos, in what is his fifth sending-off this season.
The 22-year-old received his marching orders after appearing to elbow Celtic captain Scott Brown.
And Rangers fans have now taken to Twitter to rip into the Colombia forward for his actions, with one even labelling him a t***.
“Morelos ya t***,” said one fan.
Another added: “Morelos off imagine my shock
“Why did I not put money on a Morelos getting sent off. Why!??” said a third supporter.
“Morelos you f****** idiot,” another said.
“Morelos is an absolute liability,” a fifth said.
And a sixth Rangers fan said: “Morelos absolute headloss.”
Former Celtic goalkeeper Pat Bonner also tore into the Rangers star for his moment of madness.
“Rangers are down to ten and a goal down,” he said.
“Rangers have just lost any chance of putting pressure on Celtic in this league.”
Morelos has been in fine form for Rangers this season.
The 22-year-old has struck 29 goals from 44 games.
But his decision to clash with Brown, right under the nose of the assistant referee, has seen him lose some popularity.
Whether Rangers can haul Celtic back remains to be seen.
