The 24-year-old was embroiled in a heated row with the umpire throughout his second-round clash with Nadal.
Kyrgios called the umpire a “disgrace” and bombarded him with insults to get the official to call Nadal for a time penalty.
The umpire refused, leading to further frustration from Kyrgios.
He calmed down in the latter stages of the game, but by that point Nadal was already in control and eventually won the match.
The Australian was asked after the game to confirm whether his frustration with the umpire stemmed from Nadal taking too much time between points.
And it’s clear that issue got under Kyrgios’ skin as he wittily responded.
“Nah, he’s super quick,” he joked.
Kyrgios’ 2019 Wimbledon campaign doesn’t end though as he takes part in the mixed doubles.
He will partner American Desirae Krawczyk, with their opener taking place on Friday on Court 18.
