Antoine Griezmann is set to be fined for refusing to attend pre-season training on Sunday, according to ESPN FC.
The Frenchman is expected to join Barcelona in a deal worth £107million – but the Catalan giants still haven’t made an official offer.
Atletico Madrid publicly called on Griezmann to join up with his team-mates on Sunday but the 28-year-old didn’t attend.
ESPN FC now claim Atletico have opened disciplinary proceedings against Griezmann, who could be subject to a £190k fine.
18:30 UPDATE: Neymar warning
Paris Saint-Germain have released an official statement reprimanding Brazilian superstar Neymar.
The 27-year-old was supposed to report for pre-season training today with the Ligue 1 champions but failed to show ‘at the agreed time and place’.
A PSG statement read: “This Monday, July 8, Neymar da Silva Santos Junior was summoned for the resumption of activities of the professional group of Paris Saint-Germain.
“Paris Saint-Germain found that the player Neymar Jr did not show up at the agreed time and place, without having been authorised by the Club in advance.
“Paris Saint-Germain deplores this situation and will take the appropriate measures resulting from it.”
Neymar’s absence is likely due to Brazil’s Copa America victory and further fuels speculation of the forward re-joining Barcelona in a mega-money move.

Ben Davies and Harry Winks have both signed new five-year contracts with Tottenham.
Wales defender Davies, 26, joined Spurs from Swansea during July 2014, and has made 168 appearances, scoring four times.
England midfielder Winks, 23, came through the Tottenham academy, and made 41 appearances in all competitions last season, including the Champions League final defeat against Liverpool.

Aston Villa have signed Tyrone Mings from Bournemouth on a permanent deal after a successful loan spell last season.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed but reports claim Villa have paid an initial £20million for the 26-year-old defender, who spent the second half of last season at Villa Park.
“We’re really pleased to have Tyrone back at Aston Villa on a permanent basis,” Villa manager Dean Smith said in a statement.
“He will be an integral part of the squad for the new season and I look forward to working with him and helping to further develop his game.”

Paul Pogba appears to have clashed with Jesse Lingard just hours after Manchester United touched down in Australia for pre-season training.

Gazzetta dello Sport claim Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants Milinkovic-Savic to replace Paul Pogba, who’s been tipped to join Real Madrid.
Lazio were previously asking for bids of £100million for the 24-year-old – but would reportedly accept £71m.
Meanwhile, Longstaff could cost more than expected.
Longstaff only signed a new, four-year deal at St James’ Park in December 2018 and the Mirror claim that’s seen his price-tag rise to £35million.

Leicester have completed the signing of Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans.
Tielemans, 22, has signed a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee believed to be a club-record £40million.
The Belgian international is Leicester’s third arrival this summer after James Justin and Ayoze Perez.

And that’s because they’ve placed a £25million valuation on the fiery Argentine centre-back.

Pieters, 30, made over 200 appearances for Stoke after joining from PSV Eindhoven in 2013, but fell out of favour in the Potteries last season and ended the campaign on loan in France with Amiens.

Newcastle have approached Rangers boss Steven Gerrard as a replacement for the recently departed Rafa Benitez.
Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley felt Rangers boss Steven Gerrard was ready to take over at St James’ Park despite having only one year of managerial experience.
However, according to the Mirror, the former Liverpool midfielder has turned down the offer.
Rafa Benitez left the club when his contract ran out on June 30 with the Spaniard insisting he wanted to stay but that the club did not share his vision for the future.

Joao Felix has been officially unveiled as an Atletico Madrid player.
The Portuguese talent, who was signed for an astonishing £114million, was presented at the Wanda Metropolitano on Monday.

Juventus are hoping new Italian tax laws that are set to be introduced will help them sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United.
Spanish publication Marca claim the Italian government are set to cut tax rates for foreign football players.
The report says Italy will cut tax for foreign footballers from 47 per cent to 20 per cent in the north and from 40 per cent to 15 per cent in the south of the country.
Turin-based Juve would fall into the northern category.
Spain did something similar in 2005 when they passed what was dubbed ‘The Beckham Law’, which gave wealthy players from abroad significant tax advantages following David Beckham’s move from Manchester United to Real Madrid.
Marca add that Juventus are now doing all they can to re-sign a player they sold to United for what was then a world-record £89million in 2016.

Antoine Griezmann has failed to return to Atletico Madrid’s pre-season preparations as he attempts to force through a Barcelona move.
Griezmann announced his intention to leave Atletico Madrid at the start of the summer for the second season in a row, with Barcelona securing a deal for the forward this time around.
Ernesto Valverde’s side are on hand to provide just that for the World Cup winner, but had been waiting for his release clause to drop from £190m to £107m on July 1.
A week later and Griezmann is still an Atletico player, and his frustrations at the delay have got the better of him when pre-season training began on Monday.
Spanish outlet Marca have reported that Griezmann was absent as the Atletico squad set off on their trip to the nearby Los Angeles de San Rafael for training.

Sport say Neymar, 27, is growing restless with the slow pace of the transfer and has told both parties to ‘hurry up’.
