England were just amazing. New Zealand are the best out of the best and they were made to look ordinary by the pressure England applied.
I always felt this could be their time and that they were capable of beating the All Blacks but I never expected England to dominate the world champions to that extent.
New Zealand didn’t perform but there’s a reason why. England didn’t let them.
Manu Tuilagi’s try was a dream start. It’s easy after establishing a lead to sit back a little but England kept playing and kept pushing. They never allowed New Zealand into the game.
I was concerned at half time about whether they could keep the pace up but England were relentless and physically they were just so powerful.

George Ford gets a lot of undeserved stick and there always seem to be questions over his selection but he really fronted up today and topped the tackle count.

A rugby team is about a collective and you can only build tempo by everyone doing their jobs right. There were no weak links in Yokohama.
As a former England player this will always be my team and I’m on cloud nine after today.
They must make sure they win the final now. It will represent such a chance missed if they don’t.
To lose in a World Cup final after knocking out the favourites would probably feel worse than if they had lost today.
