A truck driver has been charged with the manslaughter of 39 people found dead inside a refrigerated trailer, police said Saturday.
Essex Police said Maurice Robinson, aged 25, of Craigavon in Northern Ireland, will appear in court on Monday charged with 39 counts of manslaughter, conspiracy to traffic people, conspiracy to assist unlawful immigration and money laundering.
Three other people have been arrested in connection with the investigation.
