The result extends the Reds undefeated run in the Premier League but after the game Jamie Carragher singled out Christian Eriksen for his sub-par performance.
Eriksen is in the final year of his current contract with Spurs and the player has made it clear he has no intentions of signing a new deal.
The 27-year-old has made it clear he is seeking an exit from the north London club, with Tottenham now considering whether they should sell the playmaker in the January window or risk the possibility of allowing him to leave on a free next summer.
During the last window Eriksen had been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid but it appeared Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane was more interested in trying to sign their preferred transfer target – Manchester United’s Paul Pogba.
And after Eriken’s performances for Spurs this season, Carragher thinks the player should forget about swapping London for the Spanish capital as he wouldn’t actually make any big team better.
“I think Eriksen has been fantastic for Spurs but he’s not better than Spurs,” Carragher said on Sky Sports.
“He might go to PSG, he might go to another club, but he won’t make any of them better.”
