Man Utd braced for Juventus transfer raid but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer doesn’t want to sell

Manchester United face a battle to keep young star Tahith Chong at the club, with Juventus sniffing around the star.

That’s according to a report in The Daily Mail.

Chong joined United in 2016, playing two years in the youth ranks before graduating to the first-team.

The winger has made just four Premier League appearances over the last two years, but is still a fringe level player for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

And that frustration, coupled with the fact he is out of contract at the end of the season, has led to speculation over his future.

Now, Juventus have reportedly set their sights on stealing the 19-year-old on a free transfer.

If they are able to pull off the free transfer, it will replicate their 2012 deal for Paul Pogba.

The Italian giants were able to get Pogba on a free after he found himself frustrated under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Just four years later, however, United forked out £89million to bring him back to Old Trafford.

Chong was watched by a Juventus scout whilst playing for the under 23 squad against Stoke last Friday.

The teenager scored in a 3-1 win, and could be included in the first-team squad for this Saturday’s trip to Bournemouth.

Just days ago, Chong told the club’s official website what Solskjaer tells the team before each game.
