“A deal is being close to being agreed. You’re looking at a fee of somewhere around 65million, maybe with a player going the other way.
“The likes of Marcos Rojo has been mentioned although I don’t think Sporting have a direct interest in him.
“What’s maybe complicated the issue is, to my understanding, Sporting officials are now in London.
“Possibly another Premier League club, possibly Tottenham, are now in the hunt for Bruno Fernandes.”
“Sporting officials want to hear what they’ve got to say, whether they’re prepared to offer any more money and whether a separate deal with a Premier League club can be done.”
He then added: “It’s not a done deal just yet because I believe Sporting officials are meeting with a London club.”
