NEW YORK — Carter Page, the American oil industry consultant who was tangentially and briefly associated with Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, slammed former FBI Director James Comey’s testimony Thursday as misleading, inaccurate, defamatory and “tantamount to the standards of high-school gossip.”

Page’s criticism came in the form of a letter sent to the Senate’s Select Committee on Intelligence and shared with Breitbart News.
