Detroit man rescues newborn deer from soccer net

June 7 (UPI) — A Detroit man was able to disentangle a newborn fawn from his daughter’s soccer goal while the animal’s concerned mother watched nearby.

The video shows a crying fawn entangled in a soccer net last week while its mother hops around in distress.

The man attempts to free the fawn with his hands while the other deer watchers in concern, and he sends his daughter for a pair of scissors when his attempt is unsuccessful.
