President Donald Trump appeared eager to make a deal on DACA, urging Republicans and Democrats to come together.

“Negotiations on DACA have begun. Republicans want to make a deal and Democrats say they want to make a deal,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “Wouldn’t it be great if we could finally, after so many years, solve the DACA puzzle.”

In a concession to Democrats, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is set to begin a debate on the issue this week.

One Senate aide described to Axios the debate as a chance for senators to “put your big boy and big girl pants on, and put your ideas on the floor for a vote.”

Trump cited the March 5th deadline as an ultimatum for Democrats to make a deal.

“This will be our last chance, there will never be another opportunity!” he wrote. “March 5th.”

On Monday, Trump urged Democrats to concede on funding border security and closing legal loopholes important to the president.
