Ronaldo, 31, is thought to be looking for a move away from Real Madrid after being accused of defrauding tax authorities in Spain over income earned from his image rights.
The Portugal star denies all allegations and feels victimised by the authorities, which could ultimately lead to his Bernabeu exit.
Manchester United, his former club, have been linked with a mega-money move for the forward who’s expected to cost north of £100m.
But now shock reports in Spain claim manager Jose Mourinho has no desire to have one of his former players join him at Old Trafford.
Spanish publication Diario Gol claim the pair don’t have a good relationship after Mourinho managed Ronaldo when the pair plied their trade at Real.
And they add the United boss thinks Ronaldo is a player in decline and would be a step back for the club.
United are in need of a goalscorer after losing Zlatan Ibrahimovic to a serious knee injury last year.
“Jose Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo are believed to have a frosty relationship”
They had been aiming to sign Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann before he ruled out a move away from Spain after his club had their transfer ban upheld.
But Diario Gol’s report claims Ronaldo won’t be arriving in Manchester either as he’d prefer to play for Paris St-Germain in Ligue 1, another one of the clubs who could afford his massive wage demands.
With the French giants he could still play in the Champions League while avoiding the extra physicality the Premier League would offer in the domestic season.
