Kane scored four as Tottenham blitzed last season’s champions 6-1 in front of their own stunned fans.
That took him from two behind to two ahead of Everton’s Romelu Lukaku in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot.
Spurs boss Pochettino said: “Harry is our main striker and one of the best in the world.
“We finished so badly last season that we wanted to finish in the best way.
“I’ll go to Hull looking to get four more hopefully”
Tottenham star Harry Kane
“It’s fantastic to show how much we have improved and learned from this time last season.”
Kane has now scored 32 in all competitions and 26 in the league.
And he revealed he’s now got blood lust to win the coveted Golden Boot for the second successive season.
He said: “I’d be lying if I said I was targeting catching Romelu. I was looking to score a couple of goals.
“I was looking to take it into the last game, but now I’m in the driving seat.
“I’m not resting on my laurels, and I’ll go to Hull looking to get four more hopefully.
“I felt good, Leicester made it tough for us, they put the pressure on to get the goal back, but to get that third goal was vital and the game opened up.“
“Obviously we wanted to come here and win and I’ve been thinking of getting on the score sheet this week.
“To score four for the first time, it’s a good time to do it.”
Tottenham are guaranteed runners-up spot but Kane promised they won’t be tailing off now.
He added: “We’ve still got things to play for, Hugo Lloris can hopefully get that Golden Glove, I can get the Golden Boot, so it’s disappointing to concede.
“Hopefully we can keep a clean sheet on Sunday.”
Two goals from Heung-min Son means Spurs are the only side in the country to have three players to hit the 20 goal mark – Son, Kane and Dele Alli.
