Supermarket chain Morrisons has been found liable for a huge data leak which saw personal details of thousands of its staff posted online.

Workers brought the claim against the company after employee Andrew Skelton stole the data, including salary and bank details, of nearly 100,000 staff.

Lawyers had argued staff should be compensated for the distress caused and alleged failure to keep details safe.
