The Nominations Are In: We Predict Who’ll be Wearing What at the BAFTAs 2018

    Today, the BAFTA awards 2018 nominations were announced. The best actress category included Margot Robbie for her role in I, Toyna andSoirse Ronan for her lead in Lady Bird. In the supporting actress category, Octavia Spencer got a nomination for her part in The Shape of Water, which garnered the most nominations appearing in 12 categories.

    While we can’t wait to find out who’ll win on the night, as usual our minds often turn to fashion (it is our thing, after all). As we don’t know exactly who’ll be attending this year’s ceremony, we made an educated guess on the A-list attendees and picked what we hope they might wear. Ready to see into our fashion crystal ball? Keep scrolling for our predictions on 2018’s BAFTA fashion…

    WHO: Michelle Williams. WEAR: Louis Vuitton . WHY: Michelle pretty much exclusively wears LV on the red carpet. Now, while we’d love her to try something different, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right?
    WHO: Emma Stone. WEAR: Gucci. WHY: Emma’s ginger hair would be phenomenal against this pink and red clash (see her Met Gala look from 2014 for a similar look), so we’d love to see her in this Gucci dress. 
    WHO: Emma Watson. WHAT: Stella McCartney. WHY: Known for her dedication to ethical fashion, Stella McCartney would be a great fit for Emma. Plus, she’s always keen to mix it up when it comes to interesting silhouettes and it works really well with her new short fringe. 
    WHO: Allison Williams. WHAT: Giambattista Valli. WHY: Although Allison wears a lot of this Italian designer on the red carpet, there’s no one we’d rather see pulling off this super pretty frock.
    WHO: Octavia Spencer . WHAT: Christian Siriano. WHY: Nominee Octavia wants a gown that is as sophisticated as she is. This gown from Siriano is both super chic but the epaulettes make it fun.
    WHO: Margot Robbie. WHAT: Chanel. WHY: To our recollection, we haven’t seen Margot in Chanel before. But this would look incredible, non?
    WHO: Soirse Ronan. WHAT: Gucci. WHY: Alessandro Michele’s creations are still incredibly popular on the red carpet and it’s easy to see why with this almost regal dress. Soirse’s striking hair colour would make this outfit appear ethereal and winner-worthy.  Next up, the biggest spring/summer 2018 fashion trends you need to know about.
