Kevin Durant: Lakers handed MASSIVE trade boost by Knicks over Warriors star’s future

The Lakers have reportedly been admirers of Wall for some time now, and have reportedly been plotting a move to bring him to LA

However, now it seems they face competition from the Big Apple, as the Knicks look to improve their roster after a poor start to the year.

The Knicks are 8-17 after a disaster of a start, and have reportedly been putting together a trade package to steal Wall away from Washington.

Marc Berman of the New York Post reports that the Knicks are plotting a deal involving three players and two trade picks in order to secure Wall.

Frank Ntilikina, Dampen Dotson and Courtney Lee could be offered, as well as a 2020 first-round draft pick, and second-round pick.

The Wizards are unlikely to be keen to let Wall leave, however.

After an appalling 6-12 start to the season, the Wizards have gone 4-2 in their past six games.

If a deal to take Wall to the Knicks did transpire, however, it could have a big impact on The Lakers’ acquisition of Durant.

The Golden State Warriors star has the option of becoming a free agent at the end of this year.

After two NBA Championship wins, and the chance to three-peat, many believe Durant could look to play out the next stretch of his career elsewhere.

And the Lakers, LA Clippers, and the Knicks are the big three teams interested in Durant.

The star has stayed silent on his future, and has refused to give anything away.

He has also refused to commit to the Warriors, leaving many to believe he will leave.

If the Knicks went for Wall, it would seriously damage their chances of getting Durant.

Wall will have a £29.7 million salary next season, and this would mean the Knicks are unable to take on another max salary player.

If this was the case, Durant would have to take a pay cut in order to go to New York, whereas he could get more money at the Warriors, Lakers or Clippers.
