Billy Joe Saunders v Martin Murray postponed as Saunders has hand injury

    Billy Joe Saunders’ WBO middleweight title defence against Martin Murray has been postponed until June after the champion injured his hand.

    The fight, originally scheduled for 14 April, is now set to take place on 23 June at the same venue – London’s O2 Arena.

    “I’m gutted for Martin and I’m gutted for the fans,” said Saunders. “I felt my hand go during a session this week and sought medical advice immediately.

    “We’ve been left with no choice.”
