July 10 (UPI) — A Colombian man who allegedly threatened to attack an Ariana Grande concert was arrested at his home in Costa Rica Sunday.

Costa Rican police say the 22-year-old man, who was identified only by his two last names, Caicedo López. He is accused of visiting the Facebook page of one of the concert promoters and writing a threat in Arabic, warning of acts of violence at the singer’s concert, which was scheduled to be held July 9 at the Coca Cola Amphitheater of Parque Viva in La Guácima, Alajuela.

Caicedo López was arrested before the concert, which went on as planned with beefed-up security, according to the Costa Rica Star.

“Our work during this operation was first directed toward verifying whether we were indeed facing an attack threat,” said Judicial Investigation Police Director Wálter Espinoza, according to the Tico Times.

Espinoza said the threat had to be taken seriously, even if it was “just a prank.”
